DOWNTOWN. This 1892 hotel is one of Denver's most recognizable historic landmarks. Built in Victorian style, the hotel's atrium lobby is both breathtaking and luxurious. From the Reagan and Roosevelt suites on floors eight and nine, a straight shot down Broadway Street can be seen, and although skyscrapers like the modern Wells Fargo Building surround the hotel, their proximity gives guests in these rooms an intimate view of the city.

DOWNTOWN. Located across the street from its sister hotel, Denver's historic Brown Palace, the Comfort Inn Downtown Denver offers reasonably priced rooms and several corner suites with superb city views. Room 2262, a two-bedroom corner suite on the top floor, has an almost perfect view (between two imposing skyscrapers) of Denver's historic Paramount Theater, Performing Arts Complex, Pepsi Center and mountains.

BROOMFIELD. Situated halfway between Denver and Boulder, this quaint bed and breakfast offers a unique city view from the hotel patio. From across the undulating shortgrass prairie, guests can take in Denver's distant skyline, the Rocky Mountains, and small aircraft as they take off and land at the nearby community airport. The usual amenities of satellite television and Internet access are available, in addition to several unique features such as large rooms with fireplace and bicycle rentals for numerous trails that meander throughout the adjacent property.

Although this hotel is surrounded by buildings higher than itself, the John Lennon Corner Suite on the seventh (and top) floor boasts a fantastic view of Denver's historic Champa and 17th Streets, not to mention beautiful old buildings lining the route. Built in Denver's 1917 Railway Exchange Building, the hotel is pet-friendly and non-smoking. It also offers high-speed Internet access, a full service spa and fitness center, and Panzano's restaurant.

Built in Denver's historic Tramway Building and nestled in downtown Denver between the historic Larimer Square District and Performing Arts Complex, Hotel Teatro maintains fabulous views of both mountains and city from its ninth floor balcony rooms (903 through 908). The hotel is chic, centrally located, and offers a variety of special amenities, such as aromatherapy or bubble baths and turndown service with rose petals or chocolate-covered strawberries. Rooms are luxurious, with sandstone floors, cherry wood walls and marble bathrooms, while the hotel's marble entrance and reception areas are decorated with costumes on loan from recent theater performances.

Perched on the hotel's 27th floor and facing north is Peaks Lounge, where modern floor-to-ceiling windows give patrons a birds-eye view of Denver and its mountains to the west. Mt. Evans and Longs Peak – two of Colorado's fourteeners – can be seen on clear days, as can Red Rocks Amphitheater and the Flat Irons. City views include Denver's oldest settlement of Auraria, Elitches Amusement Park, the old Tivoli Brewery, Union Station, the Old Clock Tower and utility building, 16th Street Mall, and the Performing Arts Complex, among others. At night, the city lights up for a sparkling view – diamonds against a velvet background.

Situated in Denver's Capitol Hill neighborhood, this non-smoking, pet-friendly, and very plush hotel has superb views of downtown Denver and the mountains from the balconies of suites whose numbers end in -02 on floors 12 to 15. The view includes landmarks such as the State Capitol, City Park and the Denver Art Museum, among others. On clear days, Mt. Evans and Pike's Peak can be seen from these balconies. The hotel is within walking distance of downtown Denver and the light rail.

UPTOWN. This fancy hotel was built in the 1970s and has had several updates since. Most of the rooms have a good view of either the city (to the west) or of Denver's historic neighborhoods (to the east). The best view in the hotel, however, is from the heated rooftop pool on the 16th floor, which is open year-round and gives guests a 360-degree view of Denver. Also nice are views from the west-facing workout room on the 15th floor. The hotel has several large meeting rooms and acclaimed Randolph's Restaurant and Bar. Other amenities include cable television, Wi-Fi Internet access, a business center, and a pets-permitted policy.
